Sure, Dorothy may say there's "No place like home" but there's really no place like Oz. Narnia, Neverland and Middle-earth are all magical but somehow not quite as real or as vibrant as the Land of Oz. Now you can visit yourself thanks to an exciting musical production of L. Frank Baum's The Wizard of Oz presented by Cosumnes Oaks High School Theater. Whisked by a tornado from a Kansas farm, little Dorothy finds herself in a fairyland where scarecrows talk and monkeys fly. To get home she must see the mysterious "Wizard," enlisting the help of characters she meets along a yellow brick road. Savor some of the best songs ever written for screen or stage like "Over the Rainbow," "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" and "Ding, Dong, the Witch is Dead." Learn More

About the Ticket Supplier: Runaway Stage Productions
Runaway Stage Productions (RSP) began serving the region’s theatre community in 1997 at the Eagle Theater in Old Sacramento and now performs at the 24th Street Theater at the Sierra 2 Center. It is the only Community Theatre Company in the greater Sacramento Area that is priveleged to have an 18 piece Resident Orchestra dedicated to providing “live” music during performances.
The company stages six Broadway style productions each season, and six original Storybook Children’s Theater shows, which are tailored towards younger audiences yet enjoyable for the whole family.
Past Elly Awards for best overall productions include All Shook Up (2008), Cinderella (Children’s Play – 2008) Chicago (2007), The Wiz (2003), and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (2000).
Runaway Stage Productions also offers education and enrichment of all audiences through its Youth Musical Theatre Workshops which introduce school age children to the theatrical experience. RSP provides a new learning opportunity through the “Broadway Kids” series, which introduces children between the ages of five to nine to the stage in a fun and nurturing environment.
