The Mu Daiko ensemble celebrates its 15th anniversary with a special series of concerts, bringing their signature theatrical flair, martial arts-inspired movement and skilled Japanese taiko drumming to the stage at the McKnight. Based in the Twin Cities, Mu Daiko has performed around the country and is famed for its innovative repertoire which includes both traditional music and original compositions. Founded in early 1997 by Mu Performing Arts Artistic Director Rick Shiomi, the group kicks off a three-week tour of the state with these shows, which include special guest artists.
