Now celebrating its 55th season of over-the-top family fun, the Minnesota Centennial Showboat Players are back with the action-packed melodrama Sweet Revenge! (or No Mother to Guide Her). A reformed criminal battles bad guys from the big city for the heart of a fair farmer's daughter, as a raging tornado bears down on them, among other excitement. Booing the baddies and cheering the heroes is strongly encouraged. You'll also be entertained by a number of director Vern Sutton's patented musical olios, song-and-dance interludes straight out of vaudeville. Plus, the Showboat theater itself is filled with vintage charm including painted scenery, footlights and plenty of stage magic. Don't miss out on this Minnesota summer tradition. Learn More

star this review starred report as inappropriateThis is such a fun show. Loved the Olio's between scenes too. It's not everyday that you can see an old fashioned play on a steam boat. Who knew there was a play about a Scottish Vampire. Looked like the actors were having a ton of fun with this show. Very detailed scenery, excellent costumes. Great summertime entertainment.
