Based on journalist Mitch Albom's real-life friendship with his favorite college professor, Tuesdays with Morrie chronicles the lessons Albom learns during visits while his mentor and friend is dying from Lou Gehrig's Disease, or ALS. The two delve into the themes of culture, family and the meaning of life. It is through these visits that Albom realizes just how much he still has to learn about values and priorities. Albom's book by the same name has sold more than 14 million copies worldwide, was adapted into a successful film in 1999, and premiered as an off-Broadway play, written by Albom himself, in 2001.

I'm always surprised with local theater performances. What a wonderful night out with my friend. Two thumbs ups for Tuesdays with Morrie! I'd recommend it to anyone with an aging parent, grandparent or love one that sees death at the door. It will lift your spirits!! We all can learn from Morrie's greatest life lessons.
