The Women's Museum of California presents their annual benefit gathering at Balboa Park's beautiful Spanish Village Patio to experience the best wine, cheese and chocolate the area has to offer, as well as live dance music provided by Sue Palmer, "the Queen of Boogie Woogie," and her trio. Dance under the stars and mingle with a diverse crowd while enjoying live music in an elegant setting, all while sampling sips and tastes provided by more than 20 vendors at this benefit event.

We had a good time but definitely the event needs to address some issues. Only one cheese booth...good cheese but just one. Long line for the crepes...good wines and plenty of them, however. Live music was also good. We bought tickets for the silent auction...good cause. Overall, although fun, not enough food, and too many rude, unfriendly people...blocking you at the entrace while one figured out which line to follow based on last name...dare to say a bit racist; we were appalled by the way some other partons acted. Please note my friend is from NY and she could not beleive it. While talking to the wine makers, people would demand for you to move mid sentence so they could get their pour...where do this people come from...pretty sad

The wines were not impressive and food samples were super-small tastes. I won't be attending again.

The setting was beautiful in the open area at the Spanish Village. I thought everything was set up and arranged well.

This is a fun event with some good wines and great music. I love Sue Palmer. Be sure you eat before you go as the food is disappointing.

Six hundred or so happy wine, cheese and chocolate lovers will gather once again in beautiful Balboa Park to sample some of the best wines, cheese and chocolate that California has to offer at the 5th Annual Wine, Cheese & Chocolate Festival.

As in previous years, this popular event is hosted by the Women’s Museum of California as part of its community outreach and fundraising efforts.

The Festival is held to promote and support the ongoing activities at the Women’s Museum of California in service to the San Diego community. This includes both cultural and educational exhibits, community outreach, lectures, vintage clothing presentations, school tours and a well-developed high-school and college student intern program.

The Wine, Cheese and Chocolate Festival attracts a wide variety of people from the community, including many dancers who follow the San Diego music dancing scene.

Participants will receive a commemorative festival wine glass to take home, as well as other giveaways.
