Event Highlights
More Details About This Event: Eileen Ivers will change the way you think about the violin. She’s been called a “sensation” by Billboard magazine and “the Jimi Hendrix of the violin” by The New York Times. It’ll be a summer Celtic celebration…with guest artists Brian Baynes on guitar and Eric Rigler playing the hauntingly beautiful uilleann pipes, backed by the San Diego Symphony. Baynes and Rigler have been featured extensively in the Symphony's Celtic-themed concerts of the past, but those have always taken place in March, during the St. Patrick's hoopla. This year we you can join us for this relaxed concert in the summertime (as it was actually originally conceived) as we celebrate the music of the Emerald Isle in San Diego's most perfect outdoor concert setting.
About San Diego Symphony: In the 91 years since its inception, San Diego Symphony has become one of the leading orchestras in the United States. It is committed to providing musical experiences of superior quality for the greater San Diego community and beyond. |
