From the director of last year's provocative Hot Guys Dancing comes another collection of passionate, thought-provoking dance pieces with the word "hot" in the title. Sweat: Hot Dances for a Hot Night is an evening of intimate, evocative choreography from local movement masters such as Randé Dorn, whose The Politics of Giants explores what it means to be human when faced with what scares us most, and tap-dancer Sidney Franklin, whose new solo work will get your pulse pounding. Along the way, Heather Glabe and Jeremy Hahn's Whitewashed Deathscapes; Vol. 3 explores violence in American media, while a new piece from Melissa Adao uses athleticism and inspirational music to exemplify male confidence and strength.
