Walking through the "Stingery" part of downtown we get a glimps of history and fun food. Insightful facts and fictions are both discussed and discovered about the wild West of San Diego. Well worth it for both home-steaders and out-a-towners.Written on Apr 30 2012

It was so much fun and we learned alot about the area from the tour guide. Not the best food tour I have been on, but nowhere near the worst. I just wish they hadn't done two mexican resturants, not my faviorte food, but it would have been nice to try another type of food. The best was "Bite Me" the Meditrain food. We have been back several times since trying the food. There is plenty of food for most people, though some members of my group were still hungry after we were done, but I knew they would be.Written on Apr 16 2012

Description
Travel into a world of scandal and debauchery as a guide leads you through the streets of a famous Stingaree District, formerly known as one of the main red light districts in Southern California with more that 120 brothels at one point in time. The tales of the past are funny and will blow your mind! Get to know the roots of why this area has only recently been safe enough to walk at night, and has become the main nightlife and dining destination in San Diego.
Your guide will take you to five of our favorite restaurant/bars in the Gaslamp. Get acquainted with the nightlife of this fascinating district while you learn about its history. Each restaurant offers a unique taste of one of their specialties, and some of them also provide a small sample of one of their specialty cocktails. Taste one of San Diego's most popular cocktails, delicious Mexican food, and check out some of the newest and hippest bars in the Gaslamp.
Nighttime Tour Restaurants:
Donovan’s Circle of 5ths: Taste gourmet flatbreads and sip on a specialty cocktail at one of the Gaslamp’s swankiest music venues…brought to you by the owners of one of San Diego’s renowned steakhouses.
