Boring and painful. The "host" was not funny, the warm up comedians were not funny, and Mr Walsh got half way through his skit, which included an incredibly tasteless reference to a small child being shot, before getting a solid laugh out of the audience.
Between the 2 drink cover, the parking fees and the irritation of getting to the Gaslamp, this was not worth the price of admission (free)
Brendon Walsh established himself in comedy in Austin, TX. In 2004 Brendan won the Funniest Person In Austin contest and that same year he appeared on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live as his original character, Scary Monster (a terrible monster stand up comedian). He was voted Best Stand-Up Comedian in the Austin Chronicle’s Readers Poll two years in a row as well as appearing on season 9 of Comedy Central’s Premium Blend and on season 4 of NBC’s Last Comic Standing.”
In 2008, Brendon was featured in the New Faces showcase at the Just For Laughs comedy festival in Montreal, where he returned in 2010 to tape a special for HBO called Funny As Hell. Most recently, Brendon has appeared on CONAN on TBS and two episodes of John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show on Comedy Central. He also recorded a half-hour stand-up special for Comedy Central which will be released in the spring of 2012.
In 2009, Bornden sold a scripted comedy, Crowded Apartment to Spike TV and currently has an untitled scripted project in development with Comedy Central. You can also see Brendon regularly on The World's Dumbest on Tru TV.
He currently lives in Los Angeles, Calif., with your mom.
