Named one of Rolling Stone's 50 Funniest People in 2013, comedian, writer and native New Yorker Michael Che is a star on the rise who makes jokes about everything from gentrification on the Lower East Side to the difference between being in love and being in like. He's parlayed his talent and smarts into a guest writing gig for Saturday Night Live and an appearance on Comedy Central's John Oliver's New York Stand-Up Show. Che has also appeared on Best Week Ever, Money from Strangers and Bunk, while traveling across the globe to participate in prestigious comedy festivals, including the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Gene Pompa, comedian and writer, was born in East Los Angeles, California. He has been a Mexican American most of his life, except for a few years during the 1970's, when he was a practicing Chicano. Pompa became a product of his multiethnic upbringing in the suburbs of Los Angeles, and it was this diverse background which ultimately inspired Pompa to incorporate universal themes into his stand up comedy and writing.
Pompa's offbeat perspective on comedy crosses all racial and ethnic lines, and goes over well with everyone from college age audiences, to a more mature crowd. Greatly influenced by Johnny Carson, David Letterman, and Steve Martin, Pompa has been inspired to develop his own brand of late night humor with The Nite Nite Show, a show with great social relevance and irrelevance.
