This was a fun show and a great way to expose the younger generation to the Arts. My niece took pictures with some of the cast after and was really excited to find out how she can become an actress. She sang all the way home and kept asking,"What was your favorite part??"

I took my two granddaughters and my husband and we all LOVED it. The actors were very professional even though it was Junior Theater. My G-kids are very inspired to join the theater when they get older. The singing and music were our favorite part.

The show was alright. I have seen better children's theatre than this production here in San Diego.

it was "a kick" to watch the talent and confidence of children and the committment of the professionals in their training program. I also enjoyed watching the young girls I brought who were very engaged with the play.

Compared to other performances by young people, I thought this one left much to be desired. The chorus and overall group did well, but the boy lead was so overacted that my 9 year old grandson picked up on it immediately. His movements and facial expressions were almost contorted. The girl lead was great, and the littlest performers were enticing. The audio was also difficult at times, and we couldn't understand many of the words.

It was cute! The kids did a great job. We didn't know it was junior theatre from looking at the ad. Any seat in the Lyceum is a good seat!

Thought it would be a professional performance -wasn't aware that it was more on the amateur side..
Price too high for this type of performance and as indicated on the GOLDSTAR website was not a sold out performance.

My only complaint would be with some members of the audience. One family rustled a plastic bag and cracked sunflower seeds the entire performance. At one point my youngest daughter complained she could not hear the show because so many members of the audience were rustling paper or plastic bags. Many made no attempt to be in their seats on time for the show to start.

My 14-year-old granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the musical...she was very impressed by the performers ages and talent!!!...and, of course, very familiar with the plot and so could explain the sequence to me:) Plus, the seats were great!
Thank you, Goldstar!

More Details
Gabriella, the multi-talented new girl, apparently fits well in all groups, while Troy, the heir apparent basketball star, has a mean layup but secretly yearns to take to the stage. Sharpay, the drama diva, and her brother, Ryan, scheme to dupe the duo’s attempt to attend callbacks for the high school musical. They think the stage is their world. Along the way, a little romance, a few twists and turns, and lots of amazing vocals and choreography bring the show to a rousing conclusion with the performance of “We’re All in This Together.” This fun, foot-tapping new musical is great for audiences of all ages.
