Known for their hard-rocking live shows and lead singer Sean Mulvihill's uncanny mimicry of AC/DC original frontman, the late, great Bon Scott, AC/DC tribute band Bonfire lights up House of Blues. Billed as a "High Energy Tribute to Early AC/DC," Bonfire has played shows all over the Southwest since 2001. They're the closest thing to seeing AC/DC in their prime, and they've been honored with a 2012 Los Angeles Music Award nomination for Best Tribute Band. See them play classic tunes like "TNT," "Highway to Hell" and "Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap." Opening will be fellow tribute band, Fan Halen, voted "#1 Tribute to Van Halen" by Tributecity.com. Bad news is that the info about the show was sketchy. We didn't know that there was an opening act, which meant the ELO band started much later than we thought. The good news is that the opening act, a Cars cover band called The Dangerous Types, was really good!
Electric Light Overture gave a good, fun performance, but there were a few technical glitches and sound balance problems -- probably to be expected. We enjoyed the show.
Be aware that there is really no seating for these shows, you will be standing.

Electric Light Overture put on a great performance and the opening Cars tribute band The Dangerous Types were a great bonus. The House of Blues was a good venue with good staffing and made it very easy to retreive my tickets at the box office.
