Improv is tough and this troupe is fairly fearless. This show wasn't quite as strong as some previous ones, but the energy from the audience was a bit wan so the actors didn't have much to feed off from. Glad this group is hanging in there.

The troupe was talented and the show was fun and clever, if not quite at the level of more experienced troupes like National Comedy Theatre. One advantage to this space over NCT is tables and chairs to create more of a loose, club atmosphere and...continued

March 1, 8:30pm – Saturday Signature Dish

Founded by veterans of legendary improv theaters Second City, iO and Upright Citizens Brigade, Finest City Improv is San Diego’s source for improvisational comedy. With a focus on scene-based, long-form improv, Finest City features several in-house troupes, as well as frequent guest troupes, each with its own signature style and twist on improv comedy. One thing’s for sure: Every show is unique, because each one is created on the spot from your suggestions. And, just to keep them honest, they might even ask for additional twists and turns from the audience midway through a scene. This is comedy without a net at its finest. If Finest City were a restaurant, this would be our Signature Dish. Bringing you bite after bite of funny, delicious comedy!
