While many people are familiar with Ambrosia's radio hits of the '70s, the songs on their five albums also range to progressive and experimental. They're as comfortable with ballads as with driving rock and roll. They can be serious, they can be playful -- but the music is always rich and the harmonies are beautifully blended. Some of their hits include "Holdin' On To Yesterday," "Nice, Nice, Very Nice," a cover of The Beatles' "Magical Mystery Tour," "How Much I Feel," "Biggest Part of Me" and "You're the Only Woman." Steeped in the melodic past, King Washington reigns supreme with catchy rock hooks and three-part harmonies. They open the seated show along with DJ Claire. Learn More

I thought it would be nice to enjoy an evening out on the water. Right from the first, it was a "Drinking to get Drunk" event, they started pushing shots even before the boat left. I saw at least one person leave before we even got out on the water. She told us that the music was objectionable, and it was. When we got on board, a friend and I tried to find a quieter spot on the boat, the thumping club beat was giving her a headache. The food was way over priced and since we are not drinkers, we stuck with water. The club beat soon turned to rap and the lyrics were very bad, "Bitches, Ho's and Pimps, is not what I would call great party music. That was when the woman that was talking to us left, she said the club music also gave her a headache but she would have put up with that, but NOT the rap with bad lyrics. We almost followed her out, but since it was my friends Birthday, we stayed.
The music changed a little, but stayed loud and really for the younger crowd. They put out some snacks but some people stayed right on top of the small tables and we did not get a chance to really get anything. We spent the entire trip topside trying to find a way to enjoy the party. We talked to a lot of people, some who were already on their way to being quite drunk. I will never go on one of these cruises again. The cost was good, but the trip was not. Bad choice for me, my friend said it was "OK", that is all that she would say.
You must be 21 or older to attend this Halloween party cruise.
