Frankly, the show was extremely irritating, due the people at the table in front of us having no concert manners or consideration of others. They talked the entire first half of the show, alternately making out. The woman was unable to sit still...continued

The acustics of the symphony and Kool and the gang was fabulous. Great concert with many people dancing and singing. I would recomend this show to anyone.

The first half was great music themes of the 70's from movies and TV shows. We hummed to ourselves and swayed the whole time. It was rather chilly until Kool & Gang came out the second half and we danced along the empty side sections along with...continued

Get ready to “Get Down On It” at the Embarcadero with Kool & The Gang! They thrilled Summer Pops audiences at the first Tux n’ Tennies Summer Bash two years ago, and now they’re back!

Celebrate summer with this Grammy-Award winning ensemble performing their greatest jazz, R&B, funk and pop hits including “Celebration,” “Jungle Boogie,” “Ladies Night” and “Get Down On It!” Enjoy Kool & The Gang performing with the San Diego Symphony at one of America’s finest outdoor venues, Embarcadero Marina Park South.

Matthew Garbutt opens the concert with a Dyno-MITE selection of 1970s  movie and TV music. And don’t forget to dress up for our 1970s costume contest!
