A wedding toast turns into a one-man virtuoso performance of the greatest Jewish play of all time in The Dybbuk (for Hannah and Sam's Wedding). Multiple Drama Critics Circle Award-winner (and acclaimed multi-character actor) Ron Campbell makes his highly anticipated return to San Diego in this staged reading of the timeless, chilling story of love and exorcism about a young Jewish woman possessed by the wandering spirit of her predestined -- and deceased -- husband. Adapted from Jewish playwright S. Ansky's seminal work and directed by Todd Salovey, the performance features haunting music composed and performed by Yale Strom and members of Hot Pstromi. Did not know what to expect, I thought this would be a traditional story. Exceeded my expectations, wonderfully told, with a contemporary twist. References to familiar characters and music made this a show to remember. Encouraging audience participation, there was singing and dancing for any who wanted to join in. Arrive early, relax in the lounge and enjoy your favorite beverage before the show. Then get ready to for the Christmas show you will never forget. Perfect for family and friends. You must see this show!
