After stunning the world with a bravura performance on Britain's Got Talent, singer Susan Boyle's debut album I Dreamed a Dream became the best-selling album in the history of the UK. And the fairy tale has only continued for the humble Scot with a golden mezzo-soprano voice, who went on to sing for sold-out crowds around the world, release four more albums and be nominated for two Grammys. Funny and charming in person, she brings her formidable talent to Balboa Theatre, singing new album tracks from Hope and never-heard-before classics as part of her first headlining tour in the U.S. Learn More

A super evening out. I was taken aback by the caliber of the musicians. This was literally a super star team of concert masters from the finest orchestras in the country. You could really hear and see the difference with the superb virtuosity displayed in each performance.
I was surprised that each piece was performed without a conductor. This did not detract at all from the performance, a testimony to the skills of the musicians. There were interruptions from the audience, applause between movements, cell phones and other noises which the musicians brushed off and even nodded their amusement. The entire evening was a joy to behold and I can not think of a better performance that I witnessed since moving here to San Diego.

Our first time to the Balboa Theater and it was beautiful. Such a lovely restoration. The acoustics were good and the orchestra used them to perfection. We happily met an old friend there we hadn't seen in years. Wonderful evening!
