Spring Awakening took Broadway by storm when it debuted, winning eight Tony Awards (including Best Musical). Punctuated by an electrifying and hauntingly beautiful rock score by Duncan Sheik and Steven Sater, Spring Awakening follows a group of teenagers as they navigate the confusing and often troubled waters of adolescence and their budding sexuality. Based on an Expressionist play that caused a scandal in 19th-century Germany, it's a bold and touching musical that captures the timeless and turbulent experience of youth transitioning to adulthood. The characters must grapple with issues like teen suicide, pregnancy and identity -- tough topics that remain as relevant as ever. Learn More

We always enjoy coming to The Cygnet. The staging was great, and loved the costumes... the actors all did a fine job as usual. We thought the 2nd act dragged a bit, and that this might not have been Cowards best work (aside from the famous line: "Don't quibble Sybil!"...
But overall, another notch in Cygnets' belt -- we'll be back!

One of the most flippant plays ever written. Elyot and Amanda, once married and now honeymooning with new spouses at the same hotel, meet by chance, reignite the old spark and impulsively elope. After days of being reunited, they again find their fiery romance alternating between passions of love and anger. Their aggrieved spouses appear and a roundelay of affiliations ensues as the women first stick together, then apart, and new partnerships are formed.
