This review is more for FilmOut San Diego rather than the movie we saw. I attended because I am a huge fan of the movie and it seemed like a great deal. With the showtime advertised at 7pm, I was very annoyed and disappointed when they didn't start until 7:45. They spent 45 minutes pushing their own video and peddling their raffle tickets. During this unorganized time, they brought the guest, who started in the main feature, up to the stage to "kill time" when they figured everything out. VERY disrespectful to him. The movie was great, no complaints there. They even had a Q&A session with the guest after the movie. Which would have been wonderful if the people in charge didn't cut off the speaker after five questions. Again, VERY disrespectful. After waiting in the mass group to get my picture taken with the guest, we finally met him and was very nice. Overall, my experience was ok. If I weren't such a fan of RENT, I would have walked out. They need to spend more time worrying about starting on time and being respectful to their own guests than worry about peddling their own needs. I understand it is charity, but starting almost an hour late was unnecessary.Written on Dec 15 2011

It was a bit too show tuney for me, but the crowd in the audience was far more amusing and interesting. Really loved the vibe and would come back, just not another musical!Written on Dec 15 2011
