While the play was over 2 hours and 30 minutes long, I thought the performers all did an excellent job, especially the central actors, to tell Mr. Davis' story. The play did not drag, and it had a nice flow from the time he was four until his later years. I know earlier performances mentioned that the play was very slow in some areas, but I felt that they modified the scenes to make it flow better, highlighting the main points in his career.Written on Nov 09 2009
My seat was just okay, as it was orchestra left, Section H, nearest the wall. While I had a decent view of the stage, it was very cramped (no leg room), with a support pole to my left.
It was a cool night, and it appeared the A/C was on full blast, so you may want to bring a sweater to this theatre.
Hopefully this play will make it to Bradway soon!
