Music was well written and well performed. I did not care for the story.Written on Nov 16 2009

I went in spite of some of the negative reviews I read on here. I'm so glad I didn't listen! The set was simple and unimpressive, but it is a black-box theatre with no fly-space so most booked-in shows I see there are simple. That having been said, the show itself was amazing. The Hart twins have angelic voices and the rest of the cast was very powerful in their voices and acting. I really loved that there were a handful of young, student performers in the show as well. It's nice to see some companies taking an interest in youth since there are a lot of worse things kids can be doing with their time. The story is interesting but not mind-blowing, but the talent on stage is definitely worth the ticket price!Written on Nov 20 2009

We loved it. The twin actresses had the lovliest harmonies. The show wasn't too long, either. Thanks Goldstar!Written on Nov 20 2009

Side show is an extraordinary musical with an incredible score and a very moving storyline. We loved it! It was especially enjoyable staged in the intimate setting of the space theatre. The simple set allowed audience members to focus on the touching story instead of being distracted by a bunch of bells and whistles. Terrific voices and very honest and sincere performances especially from the twins, Terry, Buddy & Jake. I highly recommend this show. Don't miss it! Addendum: for the person who berated the twins "belting" and questioned the acting from these talented folks...I beg to differ!!!! The twins sang with perfect and appropriate technique and the performances were very well acted! Also...the twins' closing song had myself and several other audience members in tears. VERY moving!!!Written on Nov 20 2009
