We were on a yearly vacaion in San Diego and it was our friend Katrina's birthday. I decided to get half price tickets for the Happy Hour Cruise--with fees included it was $78.00 for the 4 of us. We sat on the entry level next to the bar in two overstuffed cozy sofas. The darling bartender kept us well tended to. The upstairs had a snack buffet with veggies and chips and dips. The young smiling faced staff passed other yummy treats throughout the cruise. We had mini pulled pork sliders and skewers of teriyaki chicken and beef. There was plenty to eat and the finale was dark chocolate dipped bannana chunks and warm graham cracker smores.
The view was delightful and the people on board were friendly and happy. There were a few well behaved kids but they were outside and not in the bar area. I must say with the seats we had we felt like the cruise was our own personal trip. Katrina was really pleased with her birthday treat (as were the rest of us).
I had been on the 2 hour Harbor cruise last year ad it was narrated by the captain---very informative. If you want to know what you are looking at then I advise you to take the one or two hour cruise. The Happy Hour is not narrated--we will go on the other on next year to learn more about what we are seeing.
