You may want to bring a jacket as it was chilly inside.

Get there early to get good street parking. Dicey neighborhood, so find a spot under a streetlight.

Seriously... what the hell did I watch?!?! I thought I was going to see a play, but rather what I got was a 70 minute history lesson disguised as a "play." NOTHING was going on... NOTHING!!! NOTHING!!!! It was actors talking on stage for what felt like hours telling us about the Blood Countess and her history. And then a powerpoint presentation pops up!!! WTF?!?! REALLY?!?! A powerpoint presentation in a play??? They couldn't come up with a way to stage the action and talk about it??? And there was no plot! Oh wait, there was a plot. It was we are at a rave having to hear the story about the Blood Countess. That was it. Get ready to have six actors tell you a story for 70 minutes. And when the Blood Countess appears all she freaking does is sit in a bathtub for 30 minutes talking! THAT'S ALL! Oh and the blood that was promised... it came in a form of a buck that was poured into the bathtub and we barely see it once its in there. When the vampires bit the girls... there was no blood. And this DJ that is promoted.. yeah he doesn't do a damn thing. The music plays the ENTIRE damn show but it's almost like background ambient sound. What the hell was the point of that?!?! Why was the DJ advertised?!?! UGH this play was horrible!! HORRIBLE! And some pretty pedestrian acting that made me want to punch someone!Written on Feb 29 2012

Bizarre. It kept our attention, but just because we were constantly asking ourselves, "WTF is going on?!?"Written on Feb 18 2012
Some of the actors were extremely amateur, some were better and more experienced.
It was a cool, unique concept and storyline. But could have been done so much better had there been a much better director. And actors who would really go for it. And much more blood and a little nudity would really make this far more interesting.
I'm not saying don't go, but just don't go sober.

We saw it on Opening Night. To say the least, it was rough around the edges. The actors appeared unpolished and unprepared and often did not project their voices well enough to be understood. The plot was weak, more appropriate for high school theater. It would have been better as an Elvira-style comedy than whatever it was supposed to be.Written on Feb 15 2012

Description
Three American college students travel to Transylvania and Castle Bathory to bring The Blood Countess the same kind of fame that Bram Stoker brought to Dracula... But The Blood Countess has other plans. Playwright Kevin Six creates mayhem in a play and DangerHouse Productions lets him direct it.
Brigette Erpelding, of University Heights, is Ilona Black, a college student bent on bringing infamy to the name of Elizabeth Bathory. Justine Hince, of South Park, is Darcy, Ilona's friend and a grounding element in the story. Elisa Gonzales, a resident of South Park, is Dot, Darcy's sister and the one who does all the work. Pine Valley resident (and notable comedian) Erik Cram is Janos, the odd castle handyman who wants to be a DJ. Tony Beville of Ocean Beach, is the charming and mysterious Minister of Culture. The Blood Countess is played by North Park resident Carla Navarro.
Saturday performances are Rave Nights with dancing and drinks after the show. There is a special Valentine's show, which is also a DangerHouse Gala, on Feb 14.
This play contains sexual situations, violence and some strong language.
