From a talented cast of young actors (all under the age of 18) comes this timeless musical tale of star-crossed romance. A reimagining of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet, this cherished production tells of the ill-fated love affair between Tony and Maria as it plays out amidst the gang rivalry between the Sharks and the Jets. With lively music by Leonard Bernstein and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim (Sweeney Todd), this favorite of the stage features such hit songs as "Something's Coming," "Maria," "America" and "I Feel Pretty." Also adapted into an Academy Award-winning feature film, West Side Story remains an unforgettable theatrical experience. Learn More

Some great belly laughs. Do not need to know much Shakespeare to be in on the joke, but it helps. Great slapstick; wish they diid more of the clown parts since all three are naturals. Couldn't hurt to have a drink with dinner first!

The play that launched a thousand Reductions!
All 37 Plays in 97 Minutes! An irreverent, fast-paced romp through the Bard’s plays, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare (abridged) was London’s longest-running comedy running 10 years in the West End at the Criterion Theatre - and is now being presented for the first time by the RSC in San Diego! Join these madcap men in tights as they weave their wicked way through all of Shakespeare’s comedies, histories and tragedies in one wild ride that will leave you breathless and helpless with laughter. Warning! This show is a high-speed roller-coaster type condensation of all of Shakespeare’s plays, and is not recommended for people with heart ailments, bladder problems, inner-ear disorders and/or people inclined to motion sickness. The RSC cannot be held responsible for expectant mothers!
