Friday nights are reserved for rock at the Fleet Science Center, with the debut of an exciting concert series celebrating the groundbreaking new exhibition Guitar: The Instrument That Rocked the World. Each live show boasts a top local headliner, with an opening set by singer-songwriter Michael Tiernan. You can also enjoy beer, wine and cocktails from the cash bar, order food from the French Gourmet, and have fun exploring the 100-plus hands-on science exhibits at this local favorite museum in beautiful Balboa Park. The event was a "one off". Not really a concert or a structured experience. Just a few food samples and a few drink tastes. Could have been better, but for the price with Goldstar not a bad deal. The Friday concert series will hopefully offer better music and perhaps more varied food offerings. ROCK ON!
