It was an excellent show. Tommy Emmanuel always is very entertaining because of his incredible guitar skills and his stage presence. Martin Taylor is among the best jazz guitarists I have heard and his duets with Tommy were enjoyable. Tommy left the stage at one point in the second set and Taylor performed three instrumentals on his own. He is very accomplished and he was entertaining, but he is not someone I would go to see perform solo. It would be great to see him with a good jazz trio or quartet, however. So, five stars for Tommy, who was as good as ever. The four-star rating is because, as fine a musician as Martin Taylor is, he is not who the audience wanted to see and hear and he does not have Tommy's versatility. If I attend another Tommy Emmanuel show in the future, I'll prefer to see him playing solo.
