view more less of this reviewGreat time out there on the ocean, we saw Sea Lions, Cormorants, Herons, Pelicans, Egrets, and all before we even left the bay! Loved the Bottle-nose Dolphins that rode our bow waves, we sighted several whales, but they were elusive at first, then we saw two blues and a fin whale, we got close enough to hear the exhales and see the blow-holes, it was exciting. The crew was friendly and nice, the naturalists from the Natural History Museum are always knowledgeable and give great information about the whales and other creatures you get to see.
star this review starred report as inappropriateWe saw lots of whales, dolphins, sea lions and birds which is why I rated this so high. Another plus was the bottomless beverage for $5 and the nachos for $4! Negatives were no seating for a lot of people and very little indoor seating making this 6 hour long trip a negative in the hot sun (bring a hat for sure). The june gloom helped but definately get there early for a seat. Whaler volunteers from the Natural History museum were available to give info on the whales which was a nice touch.
star this review starred report as inappropriateWe had a great time, saw lots of whales and dolphins. Naturalists were great and the boat staff was too. Well worth the money. Several of us did get sea sick, so you need to take precautions against this.
