Carey Perloff, currently celebrating her 19th season as Artistic Director of American Conservatory Theater, comes to Kanbar Hall for a conversation with the Reverend Alan Jones, Dean Emeritus of Grace Cathedral. Perloff will share the secrets behind her creative process and the larger themes within her latest play. Set in Israel, Higher tells the story of a high-powered Jewish architect who discovers his lover is also his rival in a design competition. Since its founding in 1965, A.C.T. has become recognized around the world for its groundbreaking productions of classical works and bold explorations of contemporary playwriting.
