This is always a very exciting company and the theatre has excellent site lines. The combination of classical ballet with the athleticism of the dancers, more expected in modern dance, keeps the viewer riveted.

Alonzo King's choreography will take your breath away... truly remarkable choreography that is executed by a group of talented dancers. The dance, lighting and music were wonderfully integrated to produce an emotional and thought provoking performance.

Although the performance was exceptional, the audience seated around me were not. Some were commenting on the dance as it was being performed, a couple in front of me was fidgeting and moving around so much that it became distracting. This was, of course, beyond the control of the artists on stage but it nevertheless took away from this experience. I sincerely hope that people can learn to be more considerate to the others in the audience.

That being said, I definitely recommend this and would want to watch this again! (hopefully with people who are mindful of the etiquette expected in a theatre..)

Very contemporary dance integrated with classical training. The dancers were phenomenal and we had a drink at the B right next to it which was great. It's truly an even for those that understand and appreciate art. We had a great time and would recommend it to other ballet enthusiasts.

This was my second time seeing the Alonzo King's LINES Ballet. I was introduced to this dance troupe at the Stern Grove summer concert series and I was impressed and wanted to see them again. It was the best show I've ever seen. It touched on several levels of emotions for me. It was beautiful to the eyes and I thought the dance and music became one. I called as many friends and family to tell them to check out this show. I would see it again! Well done!!
