Natalie Dessay is one of the world's most renowned sopranos, performing at the world's premier opera houses for more than two decades until her retirement from the operatic stage in 2013. A six time winner of the Victoires de la Musique, France's premier annual music awards, she also won a Laurence Olivier Award in 2008 for her work on the London stage. A brilliant and passionate singer, Dessay is known for her interpretations of German lieder and French songs, which she'll perform at Davies Symphony Hall accompanied by pianist Phillipe Cassard. The evening's program features music by Clara Schumann, Brahms and Poulenc, as well as Richard Strauss, Duparc, Fauré, and Debussy. Learn More
