Israeli Author David Grossman Discusses His New Book
Israeli writer David Grossman, author of such acclaimed books as To the End of the Land, The Yellow Wind and The Zig Zag Kid, returns to the JCCSF to discuss his latest work, Falling Out of Time. This allegorical novel tells the story of Walking Man, who walks in circles around his town in an attempt to come to peace with his son's death. Employing a new, genre-defying form, Grossman demonstrates his rare gift for storytelling and raises questions about the nature of grief and mourning. Winner of numerous international awards, Grossman was named one of the 100 greatest Israelis of all time by Israeli news website Ynet.
