The weather was warm. I wore black pants and v-neck sweater over a shirt. However, this is San Francisco and you can pretty much dress however you wish. There were many in the audience who were Dressy and Formal, some Festive. Wear what you like!.The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess dress • Dec 03 2013 star this tip starred

The show is really, really great. I would definitely go again. The theater is very hot, so dress in layers that you can take off once you get inside. Also, do not plan on eating around the theater. It is smarter to eat in a better part of the city and then run to the theater as quickly as possible to avoid confrontations with those that occupy this section of SF. I was eating at an establishment around the theater and a homeless woman came in and stole the sandwich I was eating from my hands. But the show itself is fantastic.

When the S.S. American heads out to sea, etiquette and convention head out the portholes as two unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love… proving that sometimes destiny needs a little help from a crew of singing sailors, an exotic disguise and some good old-fashioned blackmail.
Cole Porter’s roundup of nostalgic hits in the production include “You’re the Top,” “Friendship,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “It’s De-Lovely,” “Blow, Gabriel, Blow” and, of course “Anything Goes.” Anything Goes is getting rave reviews across America as it makes its way toward Los Angeles.
