When the mysterious and sultry Vanda walks into playwright Thomas Novachek's office, he thinks the search for the perfect lead in his latest production might finally be over. But her audition quickly turns into a seductive and erotic power play that'll make you wonder who's really running the show. Among the most acclaimed -- and most provocative -- new plays in recent Broadway history, David Ives' Venus in Fur blurs the lines between fantasy and reality, seduction and power, and love and sex. The show is really, really great. I would definitely go again. The theater is very hot, so dress in layers that you can take off once you get inside. Also, do not plan on eating around the theater. It is smarter to eat in a better part of the city and then run to the theater as quickly as possible to avoid confrontations with those that occupy this section of SF. I was eating at an establishment around the theater and a homeless woman came in and stole the sandwich I was eating from my hands. But the show itself is fantastic.

Her singing voice combines paint-peeling power with a luxe smoothness, like a ribbon of dark chocolate spiked with cayenne pepper.”-- <a target="_blank" href="http://www.cleveland.com/onstage/index.ssf/2012/10/playhousesquare_production_of.html">Cleveland.com</a>

When the S.S. American heads out to sea, etiquette and convention head out the portholes as two unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love… proving that sometimes destiny needs a little help from a crew of singing sailors, an exotic disguise and some good old-fashioned blackmail.
Cole Porter’s roundup of nostalgic hits in the production include “You’re the Top,” “Friendship,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” “It’s De-Lovely,” “Blow, Gabriel, Blow” and, of course “Anything Goes.” Anything Goes is getting rave reviews across America as it makes its way toward Los Angeles.
