Pulitzer Prize-winning author Lawrence Wright, whose acclaimed non-fiction works include Going Clear, an expose of Scientology, and The Looming Tower: Al-Qaeda and the Road to 9/11, discusses his latest book, an analysis of the negotiations that led to the landmark 1979 Israeli-Egyptian peace treaty. Thirteen Days in September: Carter, Begin, and Sadat at Camp David traces every step of those dramatic negotiations between Menachem Begin and Anwar Sadat, each party with so much at risk, and President Jimmy Carter's role in guiding them to a successful conclusion. Excellent evening! Isabel was candid and really funny. I have been a long-time fan of her writing and relished the ability to see her speak. She read a little of her new book but it felt more like a conversation with an old friend than just one more stop on her book tour.
