Most of it was a drag. Its attempt to be artsy and innovative did'nt work for me until the very end. I'm glad I stayed to the end wher it all seemed to make a point but I almost left after the first act. If your into Father Daughter love triangles with another man you might like this one. For me it was over the top with attempts to be innovative and too l o n g .Written on Mar 08 2010

the moment i sat down i was completely underwhelmed by the set. from then on i fought to keep myself awake during this tedious, somewhat poorly acted production. none of the characters were fleshed out. the lorca character, which should have been a defining point in directing the viewer, was weakly presented, and in fact, difficult to understand at times. i have enjoyed previous plays from this company, but sadly, this one fell flat. i counted about 8 people who left at intermission. need i say more?Written on Feb 13 2010

First off, I liked how the theater was set up and the chairs. Neat atmosphere. Regarding the play, the cast seemed a bit uneven and some of the actors could have performed their roles better. I also did not feel a true real connection between some of the characters. Some of the accents were questionable. The ending seemed odd as well. The playwright leaves you to make up your own conclusion as to what happens to this family. I wish there had been more "substance" throughout the rest of the play. The "stage" floor provided noise that at times was distracting and made it difficult to hear some actors.Written on Feb 20 2010

The moment I walked into the set (intimate theater, one is almost on stage with the actors) i was pleasantly surprised and prepared to be wowed. There really isn't a bad seat in the house. I wish i could say the same about this play. The show began with a promise (a beautiful flamenco dance performed by what appeared to be the only professional associated with this production) and then quickly fizzled. Relevant and interesting themes were under developed and underacted. The actors were either trying too hard (Natasha Chacon) or not enough (everyone else). Bad accents and fumbled dialogue, lack of commitment and not a single powerful presence on stage. I don't have a habit of leaving early but in all fairness I have to say that I did not see the play till the end. Perhaps the second act was better. However, after the first act I was too underwhelmed to want to find out.Written on Feb 21 2010
