See a R&B legend live in concert when Dennis Edwards brings his group, The Temptations Review, to Yoshi's Jazz Club in San Francisco. The lead singer of the Temptations from 1968 to 1977, and again from 1979 to 1983, Edwards was heard on such classic recordings as "Cloud Nine," "I Can't Get Next to You," "Ball of Confusion" and "Psychedelic Shack," as well as the singles "Papa Was a Rolling Stone" and "Masterpiece." He's won five Grammy Awards and was inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 1989. These days, he's touring the country with his own group, singing the Temptations' classic songs. Learn More

Excellent concert! Fused performance of impecable music and comedy. Enjoyable for both musicians and nonmusicians alike.Written on Dec 21 2011

Everyone knows the Canadian Brass can play well, but they are also entertaining. They had little dances to go with the music. Amazing.Written on Dec 20 2011

It is always tricky to attend the early show at a venue. The performance began about 10 minutes late, and because of the 10 PM show (different performers), ended promptly at 915. We thought that was a little short.Written on Dec 19 2011
We are long-standing Canadian Brass fans, and my memory is that while they have always used lots of humor and schtick, there were always a few serious pieces. The performance seemed short (to me) of more serious moments. The sense of "group" among the players is clearly developing, which was very good to see and hear. And, the four "new" players are clearly quite talented.
We had a very nice meal at Yoshi's and a lovely concert!
