One of today's rising comedy stars, Barry Rothbart recently made his debut on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, where he killed it with his easy, natural disposition and quirky personal stories about everything from the bizarre things he's seen around L.A. to his vision of what he'll be like as an old man. He can be seen on TV in national commercials for Taco Bell, Honda and Miller Light, and in TNT's Men of a Certain Age and the 2012 season of MTV's Punk'd. Written on Dec 10 2012I've seen Bobby Slayton about once a year for the past 19 years–every time he's performed in SF–and this year he was terrific, as usual. There is nothing else I can say–I never grow tired of his sense of humor and his act–and I wouldn't miss him!

Written on Dec 10 2012two comedians were argueing with a customer who would not shut up as they performed punchline did nothing to stop this person it made our night not a very good one We have been to many comedy venues it was the first time something like this has happen one were the customer thought he was the headliner it was not a good experience not a lot of laughs.

A true "comic's comic," Bobby Slayton, often referred to as "The Pitbull of Comedy," has been performing his own intense style of stand-up comedy for over 20 years, becoming one of the best known, respected, and energetic comics working today. And there is no stopping “The Pitbull": in March 2010, he starred in his own one-hour Showtime special “Born To Be Bobby,” which was released on DVD a monthh later.
Audiences will recognize Bobby from his scene-stealing roles in movies such as "Get Shorty," "Ed Wood," "Bandits" and "Dreamgirls." He's been seen on dozens of television shows including "The Tonight Show" and "Politically Incorrect." Bobby's many appearances on HBO have included "Comic Relief " and his own stand-up special. He was a series regular on the HBO series "Mind of a Married Man," and played 'Joey Bishop' opposite Ray Liotta and Joe Mantegna in the critically acclaimed film "The Rat Pack."
Slayton's distinctive gravelly voice has often been heard on animated shows like "Dr. Katz'" and "Family Guy," as well as many popular radio shows across the country including Howard Stern, Kevin & Bean, and Tom Leykis.
