Felt the opening and the feature comedians struggled...but Clinton Jackson made the trip (and even the two-drink minimum) worth it. He was friendly, energetic, original and well-paced. His skill and commitment were evident. I would very much recommend catching him now or the next time he's in town or on TV.
Born Clinton Page Jackson in Oakland, Calif., Clinton is the youngest of three and the only son. An imaginative child inclined to perform, Clinton stood empty-handed at "Show & Tell," told his jokes and officially claimed his identity as comedian at the age of 9.
Clinton honed his craft in San Francisco's thriving comedy scene. As a stand-up, he has appeared on numerous national stand-up television shows, including his own half-hour special on Comedy Central and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
As an actor, Clinton co-starred as the affable "Mezz Crosby" for two seasons on the WB's Nick Freno: Licensed Teacher. He also made a cameo on the Disney Channel's That's So Raven as science teacher, Mr. Halloway. This was followed by a funny appearance on the Nickelodeon hit show iCarly.
Clinton's guy-next-door appeal has also lead him to being cast in numerous national commercials for such companies as Jeep, Circuit City, 21st Century, AC Delco, Nissan, Subway and Old Navy.
