More Information About Comedian Ian Edwards

Description

Ian Edwards' earnest and valiant comedic style has earned him a notable spot in the world of stand-up. While Edwards currently resides in California, he draws inspiration from his birthplace in England, while also referencing the eight years he spent growing up in Jamaica. At age 17, he made the move to New York City and pursued a career in the art of deep frying at a local Burger King. Four years later, Edwards decided that he was destined for something more, he became committed to building a career in comedy and hasn’t looked back since.

After a rocky start at a small comedy club in Long Island where he was so nervous that “it only seemed like [he] sucked,” Ian Edwards learned to overcome his inhibitions of performing and became the bold comedian he is today. Edwards has been praised for his candid and genuine story telling along with his outrageous speculations on everyday life.

Edwards has appeared on Def Comedy Jam twice, Showtime at the Apollo and The Bad Boys of Comedy. He has also written for The Boondocks on Cartoon Network, The Lyricist Lounge on MTV, Chocolate News, In the Flow with Affion Crockett and Saturday Night Live.
