Thai was working on new material. I know that's what comedians have to do but I was pretty disappointed because they weren't funny yet. When he did do his old material he prefaced it with "I'm so sick of my old material, but I'll do something funny for you now." and then proceeded to talk a mile a minute just to get through it. He was clearly bored, which made it boring for us. If I'm going to spend $73 in total on an evening, I hope to have a great time.
More Information About Comedian Thai Rivera
Thai Rivera has toured with some of the most respected names in stand up comedy, including Jo Koy and Russell Peters. His unique blend of sarcasm, edge, and charm can be seen on Comedy Central's Live at Gotham and the film One Night Stand Up.
Born in Phoenix, Arizona, Thai Rivera was raised in the smaller, more rural town of Casa Grande, Arizona. When he was 19, he moved to Las Vegas where he lived the true Las Vegas party lifestyle. Tired of the fast pace of Vegas, he moved back to Phoenix and settled into a life of boring office work. He quickly tired of the life as a cubicle dweller, but when he found his way to the local comedy stage, he knew he’d never be bored again.
After becoming a finalist in a local comedy contest, he knew it was time to move to a city where he could hone his act. He quickly moved to L.A. where he has become a favorite with audiences, bookers, and his fellow comics.
