Kamau is a wonderfully clever comedian. His show squarely hit on many of the absurdities of American culture, race, and politics. I laughed hyserically the entire show and would go back to see him in a heartbeat.

The comedians were very funny. I enjoyed the show. The price was right through Goldstar. The Punch line's food and drinks are too expensive for the average middle class consumer like myself.

He was very engaging and confident...some of the material was too young for me as I'm older, but in general he was good!!!

More Information About Comedian W. Kamau Bell and Friends

Description

Fresh from New York City and PS 122 where he just completed an extended run of his acclaimed solo show, The W. Kamau Bell Curve: Ending Racism in About an Hour, W. Kamau Bell returns to his home club, The San Francisco Punch Line. Time Out New York said, “Happily, Bell finds comic gold in the wide range of material he mines, offering provocative insights into an ugly reality." Ironically, while he was in New York, Kamau was named San Francisco’s Best Comedian by 7x7 magazine who called him “The bravest and smartest SF comic... as well as a stealth educator.” Margaret Cho said, “W. Kamau Bell is the most important guy doing comedy right now. Do yourself a favor and go see him. He’s got the most astute, hilarious and completely righteous material going and he’s going to be a legend in his own lifetime like Richard Pryor and Lenny Bruce. Think Bill Hicks but slightly taller.”

This year Kamau also celebrated the release of his second CD, Face Full of Flour. Punchline Magazine said of the CD, “This is a thinking man’s album for the common man’s problems, an applause-worthy effort from a comedian with plenty of important things to say about the world.“

This time Kamau comes to The Punch Line with some of his favorite local comedians: Janine Brito (winner of the 2009 San Francisco Funniest Woman Competition), Nato Green (SF Weekly’s Best Comedian 2010), and Greg Edwards (Jamie Foxx’s  Laffapalooza).
