Just in time for Valentine's Day, spend an evening with Lionel Frederick "Freddy" Cole, the youngest brother of Nat "King" Cole. There are certain unmistakable similarities between the brothers' voices and, just like Nat, Freddy plays piano and sings, yet his voice is raspier, smokier and perhaps even jazzier. Freddy Cole is a nonpareil vocal interpreter of the Great American Songbook and a superbly swinging pianist to boot. Head out to the RRazz Room with your sweetheart for a concert to remember. It was funny but he went on too long. A bit too much meandering. But very funny.Written on Feb 23 2010

Will Durst is an endangered species. Not only is he a political comedian, he's funny, and he doesn't depend on an expletive-laden act to get laughs. We need to do everything we can to protect and preserve him, keep him in aspic if necessary.Written on Feb 02 2010
This show was wonderful. He covers so much ground and zings so many targets it was hard to keep up with him. Funny, sharp, clever, thoughtful. See this show while you can.

Description
Fresh from the triumph of his acclaimed 2007 one-man Off Broadway show, “The All American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing,” political comedian Will Durst is back with his quiver chock full of fresh topical barbs. “The Lieutenant Governor from the State of Confusion” is a hilarious voyage into the human condition investigating the foibles and insecurities of man. Nah, it just pretty much makes fun of politics and politicians. But while he mocks and scoffs and taunts, he does do it with taste. It’s political comedy for people who don’t like politics. And while a new administration may mean a new direction for the country, its also fresh ammunition for Durst in his first show since turning “The All American Sport of Bipartisan Bashing” into a book by the same name (now available in paperback from Ulysses Press.) Durst, sworn enemy to tyrants, foreign and domestic, has managed to patch together a half way decent quilt of a comedy career via syndicated columns, radio and television commentaries, stand up comedy, stage and screen acting, talk show hosting, voice- overs and now the book. Nominated for 5 Emmys and 7 nominations for the American Comedy Awards Stand-Up of the Year, he has yet to win anything. Even a toaster for crum’s sake. He’s performed in 14 different countries, garnered 500+ television appearances including regular current stints on CNN & Fox News, has performed for 3 elected Presidents, a bunch of governors and once made Bill Clinton laugh so hard he spit water through his nose, which durst still considers the highlight of his career.
