For the price, this event was great. I would not have paid full price for it, but I am glad we went. We were a little late, but it wasn't a problem as we were still able to get some laughs in. The last guy on, had me crackin up. Our waitress had to be drunk as I ordered the same drink 2-3 times and still never got it. I ended up saying forget it.

Very enjoyable show, got there half hour before, the drinks were a bit pricey, but we went for the house bubbly that filled the two drink per person requirement. Rob, Ed, Carla and the first guy up were very funny, we had good seats and stayed for the whole event. It was nice that it was several comedians, that way we weren't stuck with one performer that might not have resonated with us. Very nice event overall and would do it again.

More Information About Cupid's Comedy Allstars

Description

Rob Cantrell tours the world making people laugh, most recently at the Bonnaroo music festival, SXSW music/arts festival and the High Times Magazine Cannabis Cup in Amsterdam. Cantrell has performed on several TV networks, shows including Comedy Central’s Tough Crowd, CBS’s Late Late Show and as a “Top 10 Finalist” on the first season of NBC’s Last Comic Standing (2003). Rob was born in Washington DC and grew up in Virginia. He first started performing stand-up in coffee shops in San Francisco, CA after college. Cantrell is now based in Brooklyn, NY with his beautiful wife and daughter.

Carla Clayy is a native San Franciscan and has spent the last several years making people laugh all over the country. Since childhood, her quick wit has gotten her out of and into trouble. Ever since she can remember, she has been involved in the entertainment business. Carla’s act is clean, has mass audience appeal and is just plain funny.

Edwin began working as a comedian at the age of 16, barreling through five minute open mike sets and hanging in the wings of the Punch Line, picking the brains of any funnyman that would talk shop. His earnestness and shameless curiosity have made him a favorite with comedy veterans and club owners alike. Edwin is developing his half-hour set in preparation for a heavy tour schedule. His rambunctious new set is a portrait of the wild, untamed energy of an American young man.

Joe Tobin is a comedian, writer, and Flyers fan based in San Francisco.
