I confesss...Wth my years of being in the hospitality/hotel industry, I have always placed Hornblower as a great venue for tourists and conference goers (and we are thankful for them all!) who want an on the water alternative for a private function. As a local, it isn't something I think of as an evening out. My partner had never been on a dining cruise, so when I saw the great offer from Goldstar, I gritted my teeth and treated him to a night out for the two of us, on the Bay. We love the water anyway, but Goldstar offered a terrific value! The Hornblower team changed my mindset about their dining cruises for couples or as a future evening out with friends. What a kick! This was the first time I have attended something that wasn't part of a large private party or group. We were thoroughly impressed with the entire experience; not to mention the weather was ideal. The friendly and punctual welcome, balanced menu and much improved food quality than I remembered. Special mention for the grilled Ahi Tuna, fresh, thick and cooked to perfection. Presentation of the dishes, was more than we expected. They do a better job than many banqueted hotel functions you might attend. Note: You won't leave hungry. Our smiling server, Gladys, was attentive and cheerful. Even our boarding photo was produced quickly by the photographer, priced fairly. The music was quite appropriate and danceable for the cruise. The creative and upbeat duo also provided narration lending to trivia and historical info. Beverages: Worthwhile drinks and the wine list sufficiently stocked with pricing to suit various budgets. I would recommend Hornblower dining cruise to anyone who wants a fun break away from the cement, just two and a half hours of spectacular scenery. P.S. Anyone using a wheel chair would find Hornblower a very easy way to access getting out on the water with friends or family. Easy parking and boarding as well.

Pleasant evening. The boat swayed gently as we cruised along the Bay. Salad and Appetizers were great. Main Dishes were good.
Something fun to do for a celebration. Also for visitors from out of town.
Was surprised when the check suggested a $25 gratuity.

Our server was very attentive and accomodating. Excellent service. Food is o.k. with grilled ahi too well cooked. Good appetizer and dessert. Overall, very pleasant experience.
