I did like it, my husband did not.
I thought it was very clever and the actors were good.

It was a nice little private theater and the show was funnier than I expected. With catchy songs and a outragious cast, I really enjoyed my night at this event. It's a cozy atmosphere and it's like the play is being performed solely for your own enjoyment.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY AT THIS SHOW!

It was awful and I wish someone would have warned me. We paid a total of $66 for 4 tickets, plus service fee = $16.50 pp, which would have been completely fine if the play was even the least bit interesting. What a waste of time and money! The De Young Museum costs $10 pp, that was MUCH more worth the cost.

The dialog could not hold anyone's interest. When we arrived to the show, there were only 9 people there, and during the intermission, we wanted to leave, but felt guilty. But before you know it, 4 people exited. We should have been those 4 people, but instead, guilt made us stay. It was horrible.

The story was so pathetic and the actors, even worse. The location of the venue (Mission between 5th and 6th) is complete unsafe. I wish I could have the 2 hours of my life back. I felt worse knowing that we brought guests with us, and they too shared the same feelings.

Unfortunately this was absolutely awful - from beginning to end - no one was there until about 7:45 (they were scheduled to be there 45 minutes before show).

The play itself was amateurish and the acting was over-the-top!!!! Most of the characters just "screamed" their lines. My kids' high school plays (albeit better than ordinary high school plays) are far superior to this.

Big disappointment and I bought 3 tix and only 2 of us went.

More Information About Dodo for President

Description

Like a modern-day Mr. Smith Goes to Washington, Dodo for President is funny, touching and relevant. More importantly, it will inject some much-needed humanity into our political season!

Candy and Dodo were best friends at summer camp; 40 years later, Candy is a lesbian lunch lady and Dodo is running for President, although no one knows that Dorothy Adamson used to be nicknamed for such a strange bird. Along with a van full of quirky, lovable characters, Candy begins a quest to find Dodo, return a certain peach sweater and remind the future Ms. President that we are all connected in the strangest of ways.

This is the West Coast premiere.
