Richard O'Brien's The Rocky Horror Show, the tongue-in-cheek rock musical that became a cult favorite and inspired a movie with a 35-year continuous run, is back on stage in San Francisco this Halloween season. The glitter-rock, horror-comedy extravaganza, a spoof of sci-fi movies, follows innocent couple Brad and Janet, who get a flat tire and seek refuge from a storm at the castle of gender-bending mad scientist Dr. Frank N. Furter. Once inside, they have their eyes opened to a whole new world of sex, science -- and maybe even love. Feel free to sass and sing along to numbers like "Damn it, Janet," "Sweet Transvestite" and, of course, the pelvis-thrusting "Time Warp." Come in costume to help make the most of this interactive, in-your-face theatrical experience. Learn More

This is a fabulous play, with a super-talented young cast and inspired directing. I laughed; I cried. I'd love to see them take this touring to every high school in the Bay Area (although it's absolutely great for adults young and older as well!) The four of us haven't enjoyed a play this much in many years.
