Psychosexual therapist Dr. Ruth Westheimer pioneered the field of media psychology in the 1980s with her radio program Sexually Speaking. The diminutive, thick-accented woman approaches the topic of sex with such enthusiasm and frankness that even the most sophisticated lothario or seductress listens raptly. The Wall Street Journal described her as a "cross between Henry Kissinger and Minnie Mouse." Born in Germany in 1928, she escaped the Holocaust when her parents sent her to a Swiss orphanage, and was later wounded in action as a sniper for the Haganah in Israel's war of independence. Co-author of Heavenly Sex: Sexuality in the Jewish Tradition, she entertains, inspires and is always ready with a hot tip. Listen and learn when she appears live at Kanbar Hall.
