Written on Jul 18 2012disappointed ! Too much foul language . Drew didnt do his standup very long.Skits were ok
Written on Jul 18 2012About one-have of the skits and videos were okay. Unfortunately, I don't like it when comedians swear and use inappropriate language as Mr. Carey did in his routine.
Written on Jul 17 2012Half group sketch comedy, half stand-up comedy by the inimitable Drew Carey. Saw the 8pm show. The sketch comedy was half hilarious & half disappointing. The hilarious parts made the rest bearable. I was a bit disappointed with Drew's stand-up, though (fyi, I haven't seen him do stand-up before, except for a brief YouTube video I watched the day before). Most of his jokes were just OK, only a few were very funny. In the middle of the act, he pulled a standard "what's your name & what do you do?" act with the audience, which was largely boring & didn't relate to the rest of his act. Comedians seem to do this when they have more time than they have material to fill it with. I don't regret seeing the show, but I must admit it was a bit of a let down compared to Drew's improv & TV performances.
P.S. the host/warm up guy was AWFUL. He just stood up there & yelled. Not single funny word came out of his mouth. A drunken street vagabond would have been more entertaining (and equally noisy).
Written on Jul 16 2012The Midnight Show sketch comedians are funny! Sketches are just the right length, not too long! Lots of bathroom language. Drew Carey worked well with them and his own stand-up was smart and entertaining!

Description
Drew Carey is hitting the road with Drew Carey Presents The Best of The Midnight Show: A little bit of stand-up....a lot of sketch. Drew, best known from The Price is Right, Whose Line Is It Anyway and The Drew Carey Show, will open the show with some stand-up followed by a full night of live sketch comedy from Drew & The Midnight Show team. The Midnight Show is an infectious, punk-comedy experience. It’s a silly-subversive, early-SNL meets Jackass energy that pushes the envelope. Drew Carey Presents The Best of The Midnight Show is what classic sketch looks like fired out of a shotgun. It’s the new best thing.
