I wore a skirt and top. You will see people dressed both up and down as some people may have just walked up and bought a ticket , while others have planned for months and made a date of it. .

Great fun! Loved her voice, élan, and skill, as well as the jams from the band.

Such a great entertainer! The band was great and the audience was thrilled to hear and see the wonderful Eliane Elias.
She is a gem and we were gifted with her visit to the Bay Area.
Yoshi's is a perfect venue for jazz.

Eliane was charming and passionately enthusiatic. WE have recently become fans of Bossa Nova so loved the fact that we got to see a veteran of this genre. Would definitely see again and recommend!

Description

Pianist / singer / songwriter Eliane Elias is known for her distinctive and immediately recognizable musical style which blends her Brazilian roots, her sensuous, alluring voice with her impressive instrumental jazz, classical and compositional skills. Born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Eliane Elias’ musical talents began to show at an early age. Her first album release was a collaboration with Randy Brecker entitled Amanda in 1984. Shortly thereafter her solo career began, spanning over eighteen albums to date; fifteen on Blue Note Records and three on RCA Victor Group. In her work Elias has documented dozens of her own compositions, her outstanding piano playing and arranging, and beautiful vocal interpretations. All of her recordings have garnered a great deal of praise from the critics and all have topped the Billboard and Jazz Radio charts.
