The Jewish Community Center of San Francisco presents Irving Berlin's I Love a Piano. In this blockbuster musical revue, six talented singers will perform more than 60 songs. Berlin wrote many of American music's most unforgettable tunes, from "Alexander's Ragtime Band" and "There's No Business Like Show Business" to "God Bless America" and "White Christmas." Learn More

This was a great event. Mr. Bogosian was great. I hope he returns. He read from his new book, talked about his creative process and took questions from the audience. I only wish the evening was longer. It was that good.

Award-winning writer, playwright, and actor Eric Bogosian presents a fascinating new novel recounted in the separate voices of one man—as the young writer newly arrived to New York in the early 1970s, and the seasoned, celebrated author he has become in present day.

A celebrated artist on stage, page, and screen: a mainstay of New York theater, Hollywood, and worldwide art communities, Eric Bogosian’s Pulitzer Prize-nominated play Talk Radio recently received rave reviews and two Tony nominations in its Broadway revival, and Bogosian himself can currently be seen in a starring role on NBC’s hit series Law & Order. His previous novels, Wasted Beauty and Mall, garnered enthusiastic praise from readers and critics alike.

An artist’s coming of age: Narrated by a prominent writer looking back through the journals he kept as a young man newly arrived in New York in the 1970s, Untitled explores two fully different characters—a young, ambitious writer and his older incarnate, jaded by success—and creates an unforgettable portrait of these two men who ultimately inhabit the same individual. By turns meditative, deftly observant, and scathingly analytical, Untitled reflects the literary depth and breadth of authors, such as Philip Roth and Tom Wolfe.

Writing that is both personal and political: Drawing on many of his own personal experiences, Bogosian recreates the landscape and atmosphere of downtown New York with fresh, honest, and vivid prose and reveals a powerful commentary on the complicated dynamic between creativity and commerce in the artistic world. Untitled is his most heartfelt and penetrating novel yet, with writing that reflects an enormous range of experience and emotion.
Eric Bogosian is the author of the novels Wasted Beauty and Mall. He is the author of several award-winning plays, including Talk Radio, subUrbia, Griller, and Drinking in America. He is the recipient of three Obie awards and a Drama Desk award and two of his plays have been adapted for film. He lives in New York City.
